Nuovo Pignone

The commission concerned the supply of 5 units, each consisting of 2 anti-noise barriers joined together, 15 metres high in steel, with special panels and components to withstand temperatures as low as -50°C.

We complied with the strict specifications of Nuovo Pignone (GE Group), to meet the criteria and the particular conditions of the installation site.

All accompanying paperwork was supplied in Russian and Kazakh.

Due to the particular nature of the project, continuous inspections were carried out at every stage of production, both at our premises and those of the subcontractor, involving our staff specialised in quality control and in the constant presence of the client’s supervisors.

The unfinished structures were pre-assembled and tested in the presence of the client prior to the go-ahead to proceed to the next phase.

Besides the standard checks, the project involved extra checks on raw materials in order to ensure their resistance to temperatures of – 50°C; 100% of welds were tested and certified compliant with ASME IX by a third party appointed by the client, and the painting cycle of every component and all packaging was verified.

At the conclusion of the commission, Matis Insonorizzazioni srl was successful in its role as supplier to Nuovo Pignone.
