Since 2007, Matis Insonorizzazioni has supplied soundproof cabins for testing lines at premises of the FIAT group.
In particular, over the years a system for Water Testing has been developed, which has been adopted by FIAT – now FCA – as its standard for this type of product; the system is displayed as part of guided tours of the group’s manufacturing premises.
Besides the watertightness, this product is distinctive for the special finishes required.
The Water Test cabin supplied by Matis to the Melfi branch can be seen on the FCA website dedicated to the production of the FIAT 500X at the following link, as the 3D background during the final stage, 4. Assembly in “Final Testing”, where the inside of the cabin can be viewed in a video filmed during the water test:
